Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a branch teller to deliver outstanding customer service in a high-volume environment. You will handle everyday banking needs, educate customers on products, and guide them toward digital tools and services.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
1+ year of proven retail sales, call center, customer service, or telesales experience.
Fluent communication in English; ability to assess customer needs and explain banking options.

Responsibilities

Educate customers and explain features and benefits of Consumer and Business Banking solutions; make recommendations based on needs.
Engage customers and promote digital capabilities in interactions.
Explain the high-level criteria used to decision loan applications.
Complete servicing-related tasks for Consumer/Business Banking relationships and identify cross-sell opportunities.
Follow the Bank's sales process and provide customer-focused guidance.
Proactively reach out to customers to support retention and expansion of relationships.
Assist with compliance processes (AML, BSA, KYC) and flag potential fraud.
Accurately complete customer transactions and document interactions in the system.
