Job summary

DARCARS of Silver Spring is hiring an Automotive Receptionist to be the front-line representative in the showroom, greeting customers and directing them to the appropriate team member. You will answer calls, manage messages, and assist during busy showroom hours.

The role requires a polite phone presence, strong communication, and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Automotive dealership experience is a plus, with benefits and employee discounts offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to speak clearly on the telephone and with customers.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to sit for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit.
• Direct customers to the correct department or salesperson.
• Answer basic inquiries and route more complex questions appropriately.
• Enter data into the prospect tracking system.
• Manage the company switchboard and distribute messages promptly.
• Provide basic information to callers and maintain an updated telephone roster.
