Job summary

DARCARS of Silver Spring is seeking an Automotive Receptionist to be the front-line representative of the dealership, greeting customers and directing them to the appropriate party. The role requires friendly, professional conduct and the ability to handle calls and messages efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and be able to work evenings and weekends as required by dealership operations.

Qualifications

• Must speak clearly and convey professionalism to callers and customers.
• Strong communication with customers and employees.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to sit for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass pre-employment background check.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit.
• Direct customers to the correct department or salesperson.
• Answer basic inquiries and refer more extensive questions.
• Enter data into computer-based prospect tracking system.
• Manage the switchboard and handle calls professionally.
• Take thorough messages with caller details and times.
• Communicate messages to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
• Provide basic information to general inquiries.
• Update and distribute the company telephone roster as needed.
• Perform clerical and accounting duties as assigned by the controller or GSM.
• Serve as showroom greeter and assist when needed.
• Other duties assigned by management.
