Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Parts Specialist who will deliver high-level service to retail and installer customers, support store management, and assist professional customers as needed. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

You will greet customers, help them select merchandise, process transactions, handle returns, stock shelves, and participate in training and in-store services as directed.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Desired: Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly Index System, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist in merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone and looking up parts and quotes.
• Maintain cash drawer and process transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning.
• Prepare returns to be shipped to the distribution center and assist with stock counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Perform in-store services such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and other tasks.
