Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Salem, OR is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high-level customer service for retail and installer customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and training will be provided to handle parts lookups, pricing, and related-item recommendations.

You will support store management, assist professional customers, process transactions, and help with stock control, planograms, and weekly inventory tasks, while ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, Weatherly Index System, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Support store management and professional customers as directed.
• Answer calls and lookup parts, quote prices, and promote related items.
• Process cash, checks, and credit card transactions; manage the cash drawer.
• Handle exchanges and returns per policy and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, stocking shelves, and inventory tasks.
