Job summary

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, organized, able to handle high-volume tasks, and comfortable escalating issues when needed. This is a full-time in-office role within a collaborative team. Experience with SR-22s and policy endorsements is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in personal auto insurance or underwriting is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review new business, renewal, and endorsement reports and address underwriting items.
• Review renewal exception lists and claims renewal reports/spreadsheets.
• Complete underwriting audits and maintain audit tracking.
• Clear suspense items/flags and communicate with agents on missing information.
• Handle cancellation calls and process cancellation requests per guidelines.
• Handle exclusion calls and ensure required documentation is complete.
• Assist with NSF and payment-related questions; accept customer payments when appropriate.
• Respond to calls from agents and policyholders regarding underwriting questions.
• Process endorsements within underwriting authority and guidelines.
• Identify underwriting/compliance concerns and communicate risks to supervisors.
• Maintain underwriting spreadsheets, reports, and tracking logs.
• Generate SR-22 documentation when required.
