Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Tucson, AZ seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering outstanding sales and service while overseeing store operations. You will lead the team, monitor customer service programs, and help hire qualified staff to maintain peak coverage.

The role emphasizes coaching, maintaining training, and coordinating with management on goals and performance. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and contribute to a smooth, customer-focused retail

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and implement service programs.
• Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Assist in setting team goals, coaching, and ensuring training completion.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Answer the telephone according to policy and process orders promptly.
• Manage buy online/ship to store, hub transfers, and DC add orders with timely communication.
• Ensure efficient handling of returns, exchanges, and refunds with proper methods.
• Invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties before shipment.
• Coordinate with Zipline messages and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure schedule adherence and clocking in/out compliance by team members.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, including deposits.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, and in-store service equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.
