• Associate's degree with some training/exposure to education and teaching (Preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Identify students below standards in specific skills in collaboration with faculty
• Assist students with assignments reinforcing learning concepts
• Monitor groups of students to provide a safe and positive learning environment
• Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring
• Provide re-teaching and tutoring sessions around core instruction
• Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under teacher supervision
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations related to job functions
• Perform other duties assigned

Days of Service: 202 days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• In collaboration with teaching faculty, identifies students who are below standards in specific skills and knowledge.
• Assist students with assignments that reinforce learning concepts.
• Monitor individual and/or groups of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
• Maintain record of interventions and progress monitoring.
• Provide 're-teaching' and tutoring sessions around core instruction that was delivered by the classroom teacher.
• Implement, under the supervision of the teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
• Other duties assigned.
