Job summary

Christel House Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Bilingual Assistant at Watanabe High School to support instruction, monitor student progress, and reinforce learning concepts.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong communication skills, tech competency, and a commitment to the school's mission. Associate degree preferred; training in education is a plus. This role offers growth opportunities and competitive compensation in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively; maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

• An agreement with the mission statement and goals of Christel House Schools.
• Associate's degree with some training/exposure to education and teaching (Preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Identify students who are below standards in specific skills in collaboration with teaching faculty.
• Assist students with assignments reinforcing learning concepts.
• Monitor students to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring.
• Provide re-teaching and tutoring around core instruction.
• Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under teacher supervision.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations related to job functions.
• Other duties assigned.

Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking a full-time Bilingual Assistant at Watanabe High School.

Days of Service: 202 days

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• In collaboration with teaching faculty, identifies students who are below standards in specific skills and knowledge.
• Assist students with assignments that reinforce learning concepts.
• Monitor individual and/or groups of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
• Maintain record of interventions and progress monitoring.
• Provide ‘re-teaching’ and tutoring sessions around core instruction that was delivered by the classroom teacher.
• Implement, under the supervision of the teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
• Other duties assigned.
