Job summary

All Seniors Foundation in Los Angeles, CA seeks a bilingual Armenian Patient Advocate to connect Armenian-speaking seniors with free care and navigate Medi-Cal, IHSS, hospice, and benefits programs. You translate, advocate, and accompany clients to appointments, documenting progress in the case-management system.

You will build trust in Glendale, Burbank, and surrounding Armenian communities, conducting assessments and helping enroll in essential programs.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Armenian (Eastern or Western) and English.
• Experience working with elderly populations, healthcare systems, or social services.
• Cultural competency with Armenian-American senior communities.
• Strong empathy, patience, and ability to explain complex topics in plain language.
• High school diploma; bachelor’s in social work, public health, or related preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments with Armenian-speaking seniors and families.
• Translate between English-speaking staff and Armenian-speaking clients during medical and benefits conversations.
• Help clients enroll in Medi-Cal, IHSS, hospice, Medicare Savings Programs, and other benefits.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and benefits offices as interpreter and advocate.
• Document interactions in our case-management system and follow up on open issues.
• Build trust with Glendale/Burbank Armenian communities through outreach at churches, community centers, and senior housing.

Role Overview

As Bilingual Armenian Patient Advocate, you will serve as the trusted point of contact for Armenian-speaking older adults across Glendale, Burbank, North Hollywood, and other LA Armenian communities. You will translate and advocate through Medi-Cal, IHSS, hospice, and benefits navigation.
