Job summary

Alverno College is seeking a Bilingual Undergraduate Admissions Counselor to recruit and enroll students in weekday undergraduate programs, with a focus on first-time freshmen directly from high school. The role requires effective communication with students, families, school staff, and community partners to build awareness and enrollment.

The incumbent will support college-wide admissions efforts, including adult and graduate programs, and will travel seasonally to meet enrollment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Willingness and ability for extended travel (Fall and Spring) 3–6 weeks.
• Evenings (avg 2 per week) and some weekends (avg once per month) work.
• 2+ years in higher education preferred; recruiting/sales/relationship-building valued.
• Strong communication and professional responsiveness with internal/external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel; experience with Colleague (ERP) favored.

Responsibilities

• Manage prospective student pool to meet enrollment goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective undergrad students throughout recruiting lifecycle.
• Counsel prospective students on Alverno undergraduate degrees and areas of study.
• Facilitate admissions and registration with timely communication (appointments, calls, emails).
• Schedule information sessions and participate in external fairs and conferences.
• Work with Admissions and Marketing to develop recruitment strategies and materials.
• Provide outreach to high schools, colleges, businesses, and community orgs.
• Collaborate across departments to support enrollment processes.
