Job summary

Riverside County in Perris seeks multiple bilingual Admissions & Collections Clerks to join the CHC-Mead Valley team. You will handle check-in, admissions, pre‑registration or scheduling, and determine financial liability for services, arranging payment sources and plans as required.

Work schedule is 5/40, Monday to Friday with two possible shift windows. The team contributes to a broad spectrum of community health services and aims to support vulnerable populations through efficient patient

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical experience, including three months performing admissions, collections or billing functions in a healthcare setting.
• 18 semester or 27 quarter units from an accredited college or university in secretarial sciences, office practices, business education, or closely related field may substitute for one year of non-specialized experience.
• 360 hours of training from a recognized occupational training program may substitute for one year of non-specialized experience.
• Six months of clerical experience in a medical setting may substitute for one year of non-specialized experience.
• Knowledge of modern office procedures, ability to prepare reports and correctness in medical terminology.
• Ability to interview to obtain personal, family and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Review patient data to evaluate eligibility for medical assistance programs using formal guidelines.
• Review patient insurance forms to ensure completeness and accuracy for billing and payment.
• Evaluate possible assistance eligibility and refer patients to Medi‑Cal and MISP as appropriate.
• Collect and record payments for medical treatment from patients and ensure receipts are logged.
• Register patients for medical services and schedule hospital or clinic visits.
