Job summary

Katy ISD King Elementary in Katy, Texas is seeking a 4th Grade Bilingual teacher to join our campus starting immediately. The role requires a Texas bilingual teaching certificate and strong classroom management to support student achievement.

The ideal candidate will develop well-structured lessons aligned with district curricula, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and collaborate with special education staff to implement IEPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university (must be valid)
• Texas teaching certificate with bilingual endorsement (English/Spanish)
• Bilingual certification required for bilingual assignments
• Knowledge of subjects assigned
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Student teaching or approved internship

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans in line with district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons accommodating diverse learning styles.
• Present content per TEA guidelines and board policies.
• Use varied instructional strategies and materials to meet student needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff for IEPs.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Incorporate technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain open communication with parents and staff.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in committees.
• Support district mission and goals in assigned duties.
