The role emphasizes rigorous instruction and social-emotional development within a collaborative school community.

You will work with general education and resource room settings, conduct assessments, write IEP objectives, facilitate meetings, and maintain strong family communication while delivering

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards (from ad)
• Experience in inclusion/Co-Teaching in Resource Room models
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
• Excellent organization and time management
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities and modify general education curricula as needed
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction
• Conduct functional behavior assessments
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth
• Plan and support non-instructional activities such as events and field trips
• Perform other duties as assigned
