Job summary

Dick's Sporting Goods is seeking a Bike Technician to provide expert bike assembly, repair, and product recommendations to cyclists in our Bike Department. You will deliver exceptional customer service, promote loyalty programs, and help meet sales goals while maintaining department standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on bike work, selling related merchandise, and supporting store teams to ensure a top-tier customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking.

Responsibilities

• Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement in the Bike Department.
• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
• Interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity.
• Promote warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, private-label cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Build and repair bikes and assist with assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain Bike Department presentation standards and signage to company standards.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and SOPs, and protect company information confidentiality.
• Support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
