Job summary

Sports Basement is seeking a Bike Sales Staffer to lead a zone on the sales floor, deliver WOW customer service, and support daily operations under supervision from Lead and Management. You’ll motivate staff, delegate tasks, and help grow the department with strong product knowledge and a passion for outdoor gear.

You’ll talk to customers about gear, share tips, and maintain a positive, fun vibe in the store. Flexible hours and a focus on teamwork complete the role.

Qualifications

• Previous bike retail experience preferred.
• A passionate sports or outdoor enthusiast is a plus.
• Ability to create a WOW experience for every customer.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and staff.
• Basic computer skills.
• Time management and problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of business tools (Google Docs, Shopify, POS, Wintersteiger, Sales Saver, Lightspeed, Fiori).
• Available to work during operating hours (weekdays, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of their zone/department on the sales floor.
• Provide WOW customer service and be a role model for staff.
• Delegate tasks and ensure daily task lists are completed.
• Assist with department management and staff development as needed.
• Engage with customers about gear and adventures.
