Job summary

Motivate is seeking Bike Mechanics to assist with all aspects of bike assembly, maintenance, and repair. Training will be provided. Starting schedules are 2-3 days per week, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, including weekends. Work indoors at repair depots or in the field on routes across our network.

You should be mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to lift up to 75 pounds. The role involves keeping repair records on a smartphone and using various tools in a fast-paced environment.

• Willing to work interchangeably outdoors traveling on a bike and indoors in repair depots.
• You are dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends as needed.
• You can lift and push/pull to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete bike maintenance, inspections, and repairs in a professional and timely manner, indoors or on route.
• Keep detailed, accurate records of repairs using a smartphone.
• Stock, organize, and use repair tools, supplies, and other equipment.
• Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and repair methods.
• Follow all safety regulations and promptly report safety concerns to management.

Motivate is seeking Bike Mechanics to assist with all aspects of bike assembly, maintenance, and repair. Training in technical and unique aspects of bikeshare bikes will be provided. Starting schedules are 2 - 3 days per week with weekend days included, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Please note that schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and based on business need.

About the role

• Complete bike maintenance, inspections, and repairs in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on quality, productivity, and safety, working indoors at one of our bike repair depots or in the field on an assigned route
• Keep detailed, accurate records of repairs using a smartphone
• Stock, organize, and use various repair tools, supplies, and other equipment
• Maintain compliance with standard operating procedures and repair methods
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols, promptly reporting safety concerns to management

About you

• You are mechanically inclined and comfortable completing repairs, prior experience and familiarity with bicycles or similar mechanical repairs is a plus
• You have a strong commitment to safe work practices
• You are willing to work interchangeably outdoors traveling on a bike throughout our network of stations and indoors in our bike repair depots
• You are dependable, willing and able to work scheduled shifts, including off hours and/or weekends as needed
• You can lift and push/pull to 75 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods throughout a work shift
