Job summary

Platt Electric Supply, Inc. in East Boise, ID, is seeking a Quotations Specialist to build pricing positions for bids, review packages, and provide product knowledge to customers.

You will format requests into spreadsheets, issue RFQs, collect quotes, prepare final proposals, and collaborate with Outside Sales to drive margins. Strong Excel, communication, and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, project management, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls, or adjacent industry preferred.
• High School or GED - Required

Responsibilities

• Quote low to moderate profile/complex projects.
• Review bid package and requirements (technical, approved manufacturers, commercial, documentation).
• Work with Outside Sales or branches to discuss strategy for each proposal.
• Format customer requests into a standardized spreadsheet for bid review.
• Break down bid package and issue RFQ to vendors for project quotation levels.
• Receive pricing and compile bid tabulations for review.
• Prepare and submit final proposals with all required documentation.
• May negotiate pricing with suppliers and offer substitutes.
• Participate in product meetings to enhance product knowledge.
• Meet with the team to discuss vendor strategy and margins.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Use company digital tools to promote or demonstrate product knowledge to customers.
