Job summary

Ideal candidates hold an Alaska Teacher Certificate and a Bachelor’s in Education; Master’s degree preferred. Experience in Inupiaq language, history, or culture is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education is required.
• Alaska Teacher Certificate is required.
• Three years of experience in education preferred.
• Inupiaq, Language, History & Culture experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competency in subject areas of certification and assignment; adapt if teaching outside preparation area.
• Use assessments to identify student proficiency and plan programs based on data.
• Foster harmonious relationships with students, parents, staff, and community.
• Promote School District Goals as defined in the Strategic Plan.
• Participate in educational committees and organizations for professional growth.
