Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Manager, Business Intelligence to lead Power BI dashboard design, data analysis, and insights for Customer Office leadership. You will manage a small BI team across time zones and partner with stakeholders to drive retention, expansion, and success strategies.

The role requires deep Power BI expertise and experience partnering with senior stakeholders, with hands-on development and mentorship responsibilities. Authorized US work status is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business intelligence and data visualization, preferably in a SaaS.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of SaaS business models and customer success metrics.
• Deep expertise in Power BI is required; other BI and analytics experience is a plus.
• Extensive experience with Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, DAX, Macros, and VBA.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets to support Power BI dashboards.
• Familiarity with Salesforce data model and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Proven track record of driving analytics and BI initiatives end to end, from requirements through delivery.
• Proven ability to work closely with business stakeholders to understand, scope, and translate requirements into BI solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to triage and drive progress across multiple initiatives in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI, aligning with business needs.
• Create repeatable templates and design patterns to accelerate dashboard development.
• Develop visualization tools integrating financial, sales, customer activity, and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with central Data Engineering to automate data pipelines for accuracy and scalability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a BI team across time zones with day-to-day guidance.
• Present findings and recommendations to VP+ leadership with clear, actionable insights.
• Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Operations to drive retention and expansion.
• Explore AI/LLM technologies to surface BI insights within AI assistants and workflows.
