Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a Delivery Coordinator / PMO professional to support end-to-end BI data initiatives. You will maintain delivery plans, track milestones, and escalate risks to BI leadership, ensuring work stays within scope, time, and quality.

You will apply delivery frameworks (Agile, hybrid), support governance, capacity planning, and stakeholder communications. Travel across the UK is required to support business activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting end-to-end delivery of data, BI, or digital initiatives, ensuring work is delivered to agreed scope, time, and quality.
• Experience operating in a delivery, operations, or programme role within a complex organisation, balancing competing priorities and stakeholder demands.
• Proven experience working in a PMO or delivery management function that operates agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong capability in planning, prioritisation, and capacity management, with experience aligning demand to available resources and making trade-offs explicit.
• Experience designing, applying, or operating delivery frameworks (Agile, hybrid, or structured), ensuring consistent ways of working without unnecessary process overhead.
• Demonstrable experience ensuring operational stability, including managing incidents, risks, dependencies, and service continuity.
• Experience leading or coordinating operational teams, such as BI Administrators or support functions, to deliver reliable day-to-day service.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to provide clear delivery updates, manage expectations, and maintain confidence in delivery outcomes.
• Ability to identify delivery inefficiencies and implement improvements to processes, tooling, or ways of working.
• Experience using delivery and workflow tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) to support planning and transparency, without overengineering process.
• Experience supporting multiteam or cross functional delivery, coordinating across technical and nontechnical groups.

Responsibilities

• Supports delivery activities by maintaining plans, trackers, and status updates.
• Ensures agreed tasks progress in line with plans and highlights slippage or risks promptly.
• Works with BI managers and delivery leads to support timely execution of agreed work.
• Supports day-to-day BI operations by monitoring agreed activities and maintaining operational records.
• Logs incidents, issues, and risks accurately and escalates them through defined channels.
• Follows agreed escalation and assurance processes to support service continuity.
• Maintains delivery schedules, capacity views, and workload trackers.
• Provides accurate inputs to planning discussions led by BI leadership.
• Supports transparency by producing clear, up-to-date delivery information.
• Applies agreed delivery frameworks, standards, and ways of working.
• Supports governance processes by maintaining documentation and delivery artefacts.
• Ensures reporting and delivery activities align with agreed controls and expectations.
• Provides clear, accurate updates on delivery status and operational activity.
• Uses agreed formats and templates to communicate plans, progress, and issues.
• Supports stakeholder confidence through consistency and transparency.
• Leads and supports BI Administrators, enabling high-quality operational delivery.
• Creates the conditions for BI Engineers and Managers to focus on building capability and insight.
• Encourages collaboration, accountability, and shared ownership across teams.
• Identifies recurring delivery or operational issues and supports documentation of improvement opportunities.
• Shares observations and feedback with BI leadership for consideration.
• Travel UK wide to support business activities.
