Job summary

MAXIMUS seeks a Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end data, BI, or digital initiatives within a complex organisation. You will maintain delivery plans, track milestones, highlight risks, and escalate issues to BI leadership, ensuring time and quality commitments are met.

You will collaborate across Performance, Technology, and Operations teams, apply agile or hybrid delivery methods, manage capacity, and drive continuous improvement while travelling UK-wide as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting end‑to‑end delivery of data, BI, or digital initiatives in a complex organisation.
• Experience operating in delivery, operations, or programme roles with competing priorities and stakeholders.
• PMO or delivery management experience in agile environments.
• Strong planning, prioritisation, and capacity management with resource trade-offs.
• Experience applying delivery frameworks (Agile, hybrid) with minimal overhead.
• Experience ensuring operational stability, including incident and risk management.
• Experience coordinating operational teams to maintain day‑to‑day service.
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to provide clear updates.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements in processes or tooling.
• Experience using delivery/workflow tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps) for planning and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Supports delivery by maintaining plans, trackers, and status updates.
• Ensures tasks progress in line with plans and highlights risks promptly.
• Works with BI managers and delivery leads to enable timely execution of work.
• Supports day-to-day BI operations by monitoring activities and maintaining records.
• Logs incidents, issues, and risks; escalates via defined channels.
• Follows escalation and assurance processes to support service continuity.
• Maintains delivery schedules and capacity views for planning discussions.
• Applies delivery frameworks and maintains documentation and artefacts.
• Provides clear, up-to-date delivery information to stakeholders.
• Leads BI Administrators to enable high-quality operational delivery.
• Encourages collaboration and shared ownership across teams.
• Identifies recurring issues and documents improvement opportunities.
