Job summary

Solero Behavioral Transitions in Youngstown, OH is hiring for a full-time support role in a dual-diagnosis outpatient program. Earn $15–$18 per hour assisting with ADLs, monitoring patients, and supporting admissions and discharge processes.

Responsibilities include vital signs, CIWA/COWS observations, safety checks, group activities, crisis response, and collaboration with the treatment team to promote recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Behavioral Health is a plus.
• Demonstration of group facilitation skills and knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis.
• Crisis intervention skills; Handle with Care training preferred, but training available.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor patients for behavioral, psychiatric, medical, and withdrawal-related changes; report concerns to the RN.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as vital signs, blood glucose checks, and withdrawal observations (CIWA/COWS).
• Maintain patient safety through frequent rounding, observation, searches, and visitor monitoring.
• Assist with admissions, patient orientation, and discharge processes.
• Facilitate and document therapeutic group activities focused on recovery and coping skills.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations using de-escalation and intervention techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic milieu in accordance with facility policies.
• Communicate professionally and collaboratively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Solero Behavioral Transitions offers a safe, structured environment for adults managing substance use and mental health challenges. As a dual diagnosis outpatient program, we provide integrated treatment for individuals with primary substance use or mental health disorders.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
