Job summary

Bally’s Interactive seeks hospitality team members in Chicago to deliver outstanding guest experiences at the bar and dining areas. The role focuses on entertaining guests, strong service, and knowledge of the menu and wine offerings.

Applicants should be at least 21, able to obtain a gaming license, and available for nights, weekends, and holidays; prior service experience is preferred. Competitive pay with tips and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board.
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have six months or more related experience.
• Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Foster an entertaining atmosphere aligned with Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy.
• Promote Bally’s customer-centric culture and build guest relations.
• Serve customers as part of a team, anticipate needs and provide assistance.
• Perform table setup, side work, and closing duties.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu and wine list, including specials.
• Check IDs to enforce minimum age for alcohol and Bally’s card usage.
• Participate in area clean-up and maintain safety standards.
• Compute customer checks, operate POS, and process payments.
• Report tips for each shift and maintain accuracy.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Foster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere
• Enthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
• Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right”
• Performing table set-up, running side work, and closing duties
• Possessing extensive knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and wine list, including daily specials
• Checking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages
• Checking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else
• Participating in area clean up
• Computing customer checks, operates the POS system and accepts payments
• Reporting tips for each shift
• Maintaining bar safety and sanitation standards
• Possessing awareness of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns
• Arriving for each shift on time and in full uniform
• Attending all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas
• Avoiding leaving work area during peak periods
• Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager
• Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Frequently required to lift up to a maximum of 30 pounds

• Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor.
