Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company is seeking a results-driven Sales Associate to call on assigned retail accounts, ensure product freshness, and rotate stock while building lasting customer relationships. You will merchandise accounts with quality point-of-sale materials and help achieve preset objectives set by the Area Sales Leader.

Responsibilities include supporting display builds, assisting with product delivery, and maintaining daily prep for upcoming calls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Have a valid Driver’s License and must be 21 years of age.
• Required to drive to multiple locations and maintain sufficient insurance.
• Beverage and consumer product sales experience a plus.
• Must learn specific computer programs, Microsoft Office preferred.
• Very outgoing along with strong self-direction.
• Work with minimal supervision, ability to set priorities and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Execute programs to drive key supplier sales objectives.
• Assist Sales Professionals with display builds, ensuring displays are positioned in an impactful location.
• Be knowledgeable of current sales goals in order to assist Sales Professionals with opportunity identification.
• Assist Sales and Operations team members with product delivery.
• Maintain retail call frequency as required.
• Pre-work daily to prepare for next day calls, Be prepared daily with correct merchandise to keep accounts up to date.
• Audit accounts during sales calls to ensure neon’s and other permanent point-of-sale is up to HDC standards.
• Monitor quality control standards (product freshness, finished product loss).
• Develop Sales Support Route; including performance, customer relations and route efficiency.
• Assist in sales route coverage during period of vacation.
• Respond, investigate and resolve retailer questions and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines, company and supplier standards and policies.
• Participate in a team environment of fearless feedback and total transparency.
