Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company is seeking a driven Sales Associate to call on assigned retail accounts, verify product freshness, and rotate inventory on a regular basis. You will build lasting relationships with customers, achieve preset objectives, and merchandise accounts with current point-of-sale materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and be 21 years of age.
• Must learn specific computer programs; Microsoft Office preferred.
• Beverage and consumer product sales experience a plus.
• Must be able to drive to multiple locations and maintain sufficient insurance.

Responsibilities

• Execute programs to drive key supplier sales objectives.
• Assist Sales Professionals with display builds; ensure displays are placed in impactful locations and priced correctly.
• Be knowledgeable of current sales goals to assist with opportunity identification.
• Assist Sales and Operations team with product delivery.
• Maintain retail call frequency as required.
• Pre-work daily to prepare for next-day calls with correct merchandise to keep accounts up to date.
• Audit accounts during sales calls to ensure neon’s and other fixed POS meet standards.
• Monitor product freshness and reduce finished product loss.
• Develop Sales Support Route focusing on performance, customer relations and route efficiency.
• Assist in sales route coverage during vacations.
• Respond to and resolve retailer questions and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with legal guidelines, company and supplier standards.
• Participate in a team environment with feedback and transparency.
