Job summary

Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, SC seeks a Beverage Director to lead the beverage program for all club and resort departments, including wine lists, cocktail menus, beer, coffee and tea, inventory, pricing, and purchasing. You will design and oversee cost controls and ensure superb guest service across outlets.

Lead staff training on hospitality, wine knowledge, spirits, and service standards; collaborate with the Executive Chef to unify the property's beverage program.

Qualifications

• 3 years of beverage service experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or wine manager.
• 5 years of restaurant management experience.
• Experience in purchasing liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic products.
• Strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, their origin, taste, ingredients, and service.
• Knowledge of local beverage market, laws, and regulations.
• Ability to work assigned schedules including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain beverage program across club and resort operations.
• Oversee wine lists, cocktail menus, beer lists, and coffee/tea programs.
• Manage inventory, pricing, and cost controls.
• Train staff on hospitality, cocktail execution, and beverage knowledge.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef to unify the beverage program.
