Job summary

Pittston Co-Packers is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve equipment performance, and increase production efficiency across bottling lines. You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Sanitation teams to drive continuous improvement while ensuring GMP, HACCP, FDA compliance, and company quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields related to manufacturing.
• 3–7 years in beverage/food/pharma manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with high-speed bottling, filling, packaging, or processing systems preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of bottling and packaging processes and food safety systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to improve efficiency, throughput, and quality.
• Lead Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives.
• Provide technical support to production teams during operations.
• Troubleshoot bottling, filling, packaging, processing, and utility systems.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions for standardization.
• Lead capital and process improvement projects with budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, contractors, and vendors.
• Create/update P&IDs, flow diagrams, and documentation.
• Monitor water, steam, CIP, and other utilities for optimization.
• Analyze data from CMMS, SCADA, and PLC systems and produce reports.
