Job summary

Rivers Casino Des Plaines is seeking a Beverage Supervisor to oversee bartenders, bar porters, and cocktail servers. You will ensure prompt, professional service and build guest relationships while leading your team to deliver superior experiences.

The role requires 3–5 years in hospitality/beverage operations with supervisory experience; ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol certifications within 120 days are required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience in the hospitality field, preferably in beverage operations and/or gaming, with at least 1 year supervisory experience.
• Must have successfully completed and maintain certification in “ServSafe”(Food Sanitation Management) and Responsible Alcohol Training within 120 days of employment.
• Adequate knowledge of beer, wine, and spirit offerings and industry trends is required.
• Must be able to use a computer and fluent in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of bartenders, bar porters, and cocktail servers during a shift.
• Ensure guests are served promptly, professionally, and courteously; build guest relationships and lead a team to deliver superior service.
• Cultivate and enforce policies and procedures; train team on changes.
• Maintain clear communication between shifts.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership and property staff for effective communications.
• Complete administrative responsibilities required in the role.
• Monitor business levels and adjust staffing to ensure outlets are properly staffed.
• Assist trainers in onboarding new team members and help them perform duties.
• Keep staff informed about services, promotions, and events.
• Maintain sanitation standards and Board of Health adherence.
• Ensure adequate materials and products are stocked.
• Uphold high standards and ensure fair treatment of team members.
• Maintain professional grooming and appearance per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
