Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Beverage Department Manager to oversee all beverage operations and ensure compliance with gaming regulations. You will enforce policies, monitor service quality on the casino floor, and manage staff performance.

You will review financial statements, forecast labor, and maintain inventory controls while promoting strong customer relations and fair staffing decisions across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3–4 years beverage management experience.
• Appropriate licenser.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate orally to groups.

Responsibilities

• Enforces standards and procedures for the beverage department and monitors service on the casino floor.
• Oversees staff scheduling; approves all work schedules.
• Monitors performance and provides constructive feedback.
• Provides input to the Director of Food & Beverage on operational issues.
• Reviews financials; forecasts revenue and labor; maintains inventory controls.
• Reviews and approves hiring, transfers, terminations, and discipline in the beverage team.
• Maximizes cost effectiveness within budget and revenue benchmarks.
• Addresses customer complaints promptly and fairly.
• Promotes positive customer relations and ensures timely completion of assignments.
• Familiar with local gaming laws and internal controls; ensures compliance.
• Promotes departmental and property promotions continually.
• Encourages clear communication through memos, meetings, and emails.
