The Tribute Portfolio hotel is a member of the Marriott Bonvoy hotel brand that features independent, boutique hotels known for their unique character, captivating design, and vibrant social scene. These hotels emphasize their individuality and connection with the community, offering guests a fresh perspective and an authentic travel experience. Responsibilities: The Beverage Manager will oversee all aspects of beverage operations, from staffing and training to menu development and inventory management. You will ensure high-quality beverage service, meet sales targets, and maintain acceptable beverage costs. The Beverage Manager also handles customer complaints, vendor relationships, and compliance with regulations. • Hiring, training, scheduling, and managing beverage staff. • Creating and implementing beverage menus, promotions, and package deals. • Overseeing and controlling beverage inventory, ordering, and tracking costs. • Ensuring high-quality beverages, proper preparation, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. • Addressing customer complaints, providing excellent service, and creating a positive beverage experience. • Monitoring beverage costs and sales, adhering to budgets, and ensuring profitability. • Ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations, licensing requirements, and health regulations. • Building and maintaining relationships with beverage suppliers. • Analyzing sales data, inventory levels, and beverage costs to identify trends and areas for improvement. Example Tasks: • Developing a new cocktail menu: • This would involve researching current trends, creating recipes, and sourcing ingredients. • Managing a staff of bartenders: • This would include hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating their performance. • Ordering inventory for the bar: • This would involve forecasting needs, contacting suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery. • Responding to customer complaints: • This would involve actively listening to concerns, finding solutions, and ensuring guest satisfaction. • Implementing a new POS system • This would involve training staff on the new system and ensuring its proper use. Qualifications: • Prior experience as a mixologist is required. • Hotel or high-end restaurant experience required. • A trend setter in personality and approach. • New Bar or concept experience idea, not required. • Supervisory experience as a manager, supervisor, or lead. • Strong understanding of beverage costs and ordering. • Ability to lead and set the pace of service.
