Job summary

Canada Dry, a member of the Honickman Companies, seeks a District Sales Manager for its Salisbury, MD office. You will plan, organize, direct, and control sales activities to maximize volumes and revenue, overseeing a team of sales and administrative staff and guiding customer relations strategies.

The role requires shaping business strategies and sales plans, with experience leading an outside sales team and strong industry knowledge. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or closely related field with 4+ years sales experience or 7+ years directly applicable experience as a sales representative or sales manager.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Experience in the beverage industry.
• Experience developing comprehensive sales strategies, business and sales plans, and schedules.
• Two years’ experience recruiting, hiring, leading, and managing performance for an outside sales team.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the sales function to maximize sales volumes and revenue.
• Develops and implements comprehensive business strategies and marketing plans.
• Directs a staff of sales and administrative personnel including hiring, training and performance management.
• Provides sales coaching and training on the street and in sales meetings.
• Pro-actively contacts assigned accounts to identify customer needs and resolve issues.
• Maintains company-owned cold drink and display equipment in the trade and ensures compliance with exclusivity policies.
• Develops knowledge of services, product lines and pricing and sells additional services as appropriate.
• Responds to service change requests by processing orders promptly and professionally.
• Completes all required sales reports in a timely fashion.
