Overview

Barback
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Barback to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.

The Barback will be responsible for setting up and maintaining cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools, as well as transporting supplies to the bar set-up area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks, stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and restock the bar with liquor and supplies.
• Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled ware from the bar top and tables to the designated area.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas. Complete closing duties.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to all standards of performance excellence throughout our guests’ experience.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of restaurant experience.
• Ability to carry food and beverage trays safely and professionally.
• Previous hotel experience, especially in luxury or Forbes properties, is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical demands include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and assisting with objects over 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
