Job summary

EnerSys is seeking an Energy Storage Sales Engineer in Australia to serve as a technical/commercial interface for BESS opportunities across commercial and industrial sectors. The role involves consulting with clients, auditing sites, and developing tailored energy storage solutions.

You will design BESS/BOP systems, prepare proposals and pricing, and support the sales team with technical material and training. A degree in electrical engineering and 2 years’ BESS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical trade qualification (A Grade Electrician).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with BESS, PCS, and EMS within the C&I or residential sectors.
• Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, lithium-ion systems, and grid integration.
• Excellent understanding of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, 4777, 5139).
• Willingness to travel for client and project work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical consultations and site energy audits to assess BESS opportunities.
• Design, size, and specify BESS and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.
• Deliver technical presentations, ROI analyses, and tender documents to clients.
• Liaise with DNSPs and ensure compliance with local grid and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training to internal teams and clients on system design and operation.
