Job summary

White-Recruitment seeks a BESS Commissioning Engineer to coordinate testing and commissioning for utility-scale solar, storage and substation projects across the US. You will interpret drawings, review test procedures and collaborate with utilities, OEMs and contractors to ensure successful handover.

The role requires an electrical engineering degree, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel nationwide. DOE-based compensation is offered with a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Electrical engineering background.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the US.
• PV, battery storage or electrical contracting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of P6, SCADA, IEC or IEEE standards advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities across project sites.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and test procedures.
• Support the commissioning of PV, BESS, substations, SCADA and power conversion systems.
• Work closely with project teams, utilities, engineers, OEMs and subcontractors.
• Monitor project schedules, documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate technical issues and support root cause analysis.
