Job summary

A staffing firm is seeking a Field Services Technician with a focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Southern California. This long-term contract role requires extensive travel throughout the U.S. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of hands-on experience with inverters and BESS, a high school diploma or GED, and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and customer support to ensure optimal performance of BESS units. Competitive pay and travel accommodations are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with inverters and battery energy storage systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 100%) throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and start up BESS systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in battery systems and inverters.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Inspect physical installation of BESS systems for integrity.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational anomalies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
