BESS Field Technician I: On-Site & On-Call

Job summary

Clean Energy Services is hiring a BESS Field Technician 1 to support safe operation and maintenance of utility-scale battery storage systems. You will work under senior technicians, perform preventive and corrective tasks, and document all work to CES standards in field sites nationwide.

This role requires following strict safety procedures, operating around energized equipment, and joining an on-call rotation with remote monitoring support from CES. Training provided.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of electrical, wind, solar, construction, or industrial experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
• Ability to work as part of a crew and follow supervisor direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance inspections of battery systems and balance-of-plant components.
• Support medium- and high-voltage work under supervision and perform inspections as directed.
• Respond to alarms and participate in on-call rotation.
• Document work orders and record readings, serial numbers, and fault codes.
• Maintain site conditions and keep tools and equipment in good condition.
