Job summary

Plus Powers is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of stand-alone battery energy storage projects. You will collaborate across Front Office, Analytics Services, Finance and Accounting, Legal, and EPC, while coordinating third-party contractors.

Role requires 5+ years in asset management within renewables or energy storage, with a strong understanding of BESS and market structures. Travel about 20% across the United States is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years asset management experience in renewables or energy storage.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business, or related field.
• Experience with BESS/renewables and familiarity with industry terminology; knowledge of SCADA is a plus.
• Experience with ERCOT or other ISO/RTO structures and merchant asset management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of utility-scale stand-alone BESS portfolio.
• Monitor asset performance against KPIs and analyze plant metrics for improvements.
• Provide qualitative analysis, reporting, and executive-level recommendations.
• Coordinate and manage budgets with Accounting and Analytics Services.
• Manage O&M contracts and third-party providers to ensure compliance and strong relationships.
• Coordinate outages, maintenance, and issue investigations with contractors.
• Support pre-construction engineering reviews of designs and contract terms.
