Job summary

A recognized contracting firm is seeking a part-time Bengali Translator to support the Department of Justice. Responsibilities include translating sensitive legal documents and providing interpretation services. Candidates must have proficient Bengali language skills, a background in legal terminology, and experience with Computer-Assisted Translation tools. Travel may be required for this remote position, and a Public Trust security clearance is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in translation.
• Qualifying scores ILR 3 minimum or equivalent on translation tests.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience working with a law enforcement and/or legal department.

Responsibilities

• Support the DOJ with Translation, Interpretation, Transcription and other Linguistic Support Services.
• Translate, interpret, and transcribe various sensitive legal materials.
• Ensure fidelity to the source material in terms of tone and register.
