Job summary

Mobile Communications America, Inc. (MCA) is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead MCA's benefits programs and operations in Spartanburg, SC. This role collaborates with HR, Finance, and brokers to ensure competitive, cost-effective programs and strong employee communications.

You will oversee renewals, vendor management, 401(k) governance, wellness initiatives, and compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA while coaching a Benefits Specialist and driving data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of progressive benefits experience.
• Experience leading or supporting annual benefits renewals.
• Experience managing broker and vendor relationships.
• Experience with self-funded health plans.
• Strong analytical, project management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual benefits renewal planning, strategy development, and implementation.
• Partner with brokers, carriers, consultants, and benefit vendors to develop and execute benefits strategies, using claims, utilization, and cost analytics to identify trends, manage risk, and drive program effectiveness.
• Develop recommendations related to plan design, employee contributions, and cost-containment initiatives.
• Support benefits reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Partner with retirement plan advisors, recordkeepers, and vendors to support MCA's 401(k) governance and education initiatives.
• Oversee wellness, advocacy, healthcare navigation, and employee well-being programs.
• Lead Open Enrollment strategy, employee communications, and benefits education initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop the Benefits Specialist while ensuring proper day-to-day operations.
• Support benefits-related projects, system enhancements, and acquisition integration activities.
