Job summary

CoAd is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support health, life, dental, vision, and disability plans, ensuring compliance with benefit laws in a dynamic Operations team. The role collaborates with internal clients and field staff to resolve inquiries and manage enrollments.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with experience in benefits administration and Salesforce data entry.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Has working knowledge of tools to support client products and services.
• Task execution and follow-up.
• Accurate and detailed audits.
• Demonstrated follow-up skills to ensure closure of items.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Call center experience preferred.
• Previous benefits administration experience preferred.
• Excellent problem resolution skills.
• Ability to work well with others and under pressure.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient typing.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for a specific client product/service to internal and external clients.
• Administers health, life, dental, vision, FSA, and disability plans.
• Ensures compliance with Sec 125, FSA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
• Processes all new hire enrollments, status changes, and terminations.
• Monitors inbound phone queue and assists employees and clients with benefits questions.
• Enters data for online medical, prescription, and dental plans with carriers.
• Audits benefit enrollments and processes client and employee adjustments.
• Assists with adjudication of monthly bills as needed.
• Participates in the annual OE process.
• Coordinates transfer of benefit elections to carriers daily.
