Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Benefits & HRIS Specialist for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for an additional 6-month extension. This individual will provide hands‑on support for a U.S. employee population of approximately 200+ associates, with an initial focus on stabilizing Benefits operations, improving HRIS data integrity, strengthening carrier and payroll reconciliations, and resolving existing Benefits and HRIS issues through completion.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands‑on Benefits Administration and HRIS experience and is comfortable independently researching discrepancies, troubleshooting system and data issues, and partnering directly with carriers, brokers, TPAs, Payroll, and HR.
Responsibilities
- Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, retirement, and voluntary benefit programs
- Support Open Enrollment administration, system testing, implementation, and post‑enrollment audits
- Process and audit new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, benefit changes, and terminations
- Perform carrier invoice, eligibility, enrollment, and payroll deduction reconciliations
- Research and correct missing, incorrect, retroactive, and catch‑up benefit deductions
- Identify discrepancies between HRIS, payroll, carrier, and enrollment data and drive issues through resolution
- Work directly with carriers, brokers, and TPAs to resolve coverage, eligibility, enrollment, and billing issues
- Monitor and troubleshoot 834 eligibility feeds and other benefits integrations, including failed transmissions, retroactive changes, and data discrepancies
- Support COBRA and ACA/1095 administration and related compliance activities
- Perform HRIS data audits and maintain accurate employee profiles, organizational structures, and reporting relationships
- Troubleshoot HRIS issues and assist with system testing, reporting, data cleanup, and process improvements
- Develop and maintain benefits processes and documentation
- Provide clear and accurate benefits communication and support to employees
- Utilize Excel to analyze, audit, reconcile, and validate benefits and HRIS data
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands‑on Benefits Administration and HRIS experience
- Strong benefits reconciliation and auditing experience
- Experience working directly with carriers, brokers, and third‑party administrators
- Experience with 834 eligibility feeds, carrier integrations, or comparable benefits data interfaces
- Strong HRIS administration, data auditing, and troubleshooting skills
