Benefits Administrator (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Uptown)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to join our HR team in Uptown Charlotte. This role is ideal for someone with strong benefits administration and benefits billing experience who enjoys working with data, resolving discrepancies, supporting employees, and ensuring a seamless benefits experience. This is a temporary position with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and open enrollment activities
- Process qualifying life events, including marriage, birth, adoption, divorce, and other benefit-related changes
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and support
- Review and reconcile carrier invoices, benefit deductions, and billing discrepancies
- Partner with payroll, benefits vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve eligibility and billing issues
- Maintain accurate employee benefits records within HRIS systems
- Generate reports, audit benefits data, and identify discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with benefit plan policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
- Support a high volume of employee transactions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications
- 2+ years of benefits administration experience
- Strong experience with benefits billing, carrier invoice review, and reconciliation
- Advanced Excel skills, including:
- Data reconciliation and auditing
- Reporting and management of large datasets
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Experience supporting a large employee population
- Knowledge of benefits compliance and best practices
