Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field.
• Six (6) or more years of relevant work experience in federal, state and local public assistance and benefit programs.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may meet minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train a team of Benefit Program Specialists to determine eligibility and manage cases.
• Provide ongoing staff development and assess performance regularly.
• Review case activity for policy compliance and payment accuracy.
• Oversee case-processing, case management, and service delivery by staff.
• Coach, mentor, and document employee performance.
• Participate in the hiring process for staff.
• Research case histories, authorize actions, and maintain statistics.
• Serve as liaison to external and internal organizations and the public.
• Compile and analyze management reports on workload and performance.
• Ensure high quality customer service.
• Participate in Mass Care Center operations during incidents or emergencies as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.
