Job summary

Clark County's Office of Risk Management seeks an Employee Benefits Coordinator to supervise the Benefits team and provide technical guidance in health and voluntary benefits programs. The role interfaces with employees, retirees, plan administrators, vendors and internal partners in a complex benefits environment.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical, communication and organizational skills, plus experience with SAP, Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to an Associate's Degree in business, public administration, healthcare or related field.
• Four years of full-time experience with employee benefits programs including one year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Ability to document work experiences clearly in the application system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee benefit enrollment transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical assistance and resolve employee benefit inquiries.
• Research and interpret summary plan documents, bargaining agreements and policies.
• Develop and update SOPs for benefits administration.
• Coordinate benefit orientations and generate reports to support accuracy and compliance.
