Job summary

Health Plus Management, a leading health care management company, seeks a Benefits Specialist to oversee benefits administration across 50+ locations and the Nassau County HQ. You will collaborate with HR leadership, site owners and brokers to design programs, manage leave and workers' compensation, and improve processes for cost efficiency.

You will handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, data transfers, and annual renewals while ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.
• SHRM, PHR certification or CEBS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day to day contact for plan vendors, brokers and TPA's.
• Design, recommend and implement new benefits programs with brokers.
• Coordinate data transfers for services, premiums and plan administration.
• Evaluate systems and revise processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Maintain benefits files and payroll deductions; oversee billings with Finance.
• Provide training and communications on benefits to staff and sites.
• Monitor compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA and related rules.
