Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years with the Department of Social Services in Customer Services.
• Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who have questions about their overpayment claims and/or the Treasury Offset Program.
• Serve as a liaison to prosecuting attorney’s offices and other governmental and law enforcement agencies.
• Conduct pre-employment background checks on DSS new hires.
• Exercises independence in performance of responsibilities; receives general administrative direction.
• Compiles and analyzes information related to suspected cases of fraudulent receipt of public assistance benefits.
• Examines and analyzes a variety of records to secure information concerning suspected violations of federal and state laws and/or regulations.
• Utilizes databases for entering, updating, and tracking complaints and investigations.
• Complete and submit monthly vehicle expense logs as well as ordering office supplies.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
