Job summary

BuildASign is seeking a Benefits & Leave Specialist to administer employee health and welfare benefits, coordinate annual enrollment, and manage leaves of absence for both manufacturing and office teams in Austin, TX. You will ensure accurate, compliant program administration and serve as a trusted resource on benefits and employment laws.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience focused on benefits, leave, or workers' comp.
• Experience administering employee health and welfare benefits and open enrollment.
• Knowledge of COBRA, ACA, HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation.
• Experience with HRIS and benefits systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Administer health and welfare benefits programs.
• Coordinate annual benefits open enrollment and communications.
• Manage 401(k) retirement plan enrollment and vendor liaison.
• Serve as primary contact for eligibility, enrollment, and questions.
• Audit enrollments, changes, and terminations with Payroll.
• Ensure COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, ERISA compliance as applicable.
• Oversee leave administration (FMLA, ADA) and return-to-work processes.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and OSHA-related coordination.
• Maintain confidential HR records and processes.
