Golden Hippo in Woodland Hills, CA, seeks a Benefits and Leave Operations Specialist to manage day-to-day benefits and leaves. You will handle enrollments, COBRA processing, and leave administration with strict confidentiality across HR systems.

The role requires 1–3 years in HR operations or benefits, plus knowledge of FMLA/COBRA and HRIS/payroll platforms. Strong organization and judgment are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in HR operations, benefits administration, or related HR support role
• FMLA, COBRA, state disability/UI knowledge
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems and enrollment platforms (Paycor, ADP, Workday)

Responsibilities

• Administer COBRA and other benefit transactions not via automated workflows
• Review and approve benefits enrollments for new hires and life events
• Manage employee communications during enrollment
• Support Health Savings Account, retirement, and related accounts processing
• Perform invoices and payroll deduction reconciliations for vendors
• Track and administer leave types in compliance with regulations
• Process unemployment insurance, disability, and leave claim documentation
• Interpret and apply company leave policies with discretion
• Monitor Workers' Compensation claims and related forms
• Coordinate leave usage with payroll
• Handle HR-related mail and employee wellness events
• Support open enrollment planning and HR policy administration
• Contribute to process improvements across HR operations
