Job summary

North Park University is seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer employee benefit, retirement, and leave programs. You will guide enrollment, coordinate with vendors and payroll, and ensure accurate, timely, confidential processing in line with plan terms.

You will manage open enrollment, conduct employee education, maintain benefits content, and support compliance audits while collaborating with HR leadership to align benefits with university mission and policy requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is required.
• Strong reconciliation and documentation skills are essential.
• Experience with HRIS and benefit enrollment systems is required.
• Experience administering 403(b) retirement plans, ACA reporting, vendor billing, and open enrollment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits programs including enrollment, education, billing, and audits.
• Coordinate retirement plan processes and vendor relations with payroll.
• Manage open enrollment and life-event changes with communication and materials.
• Maintain confidential benefit records and assist employees with inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related requirements.
